Frequently Asked Questions

Finding a Design partner

Choosing an interior designer is a big decision, and not just because of the design.
We’ll be working closely together, in regular communication and making some big decisions about your home. It’s important you feel like we’re on your side (because we are).

Here’s what it’s like working with us, and answers to a few things people often want to know before they get in touch:

Interior Design FAQs

Absolutely. Many of our clients come to us when they have an outline architectural plan — and that’s an ideal time to get us involved. We can help you shape the interiors alongside finalising your plans, and suggest tweaks where needed to make sure the layout works for real life. This joined-up thinking often helps avoid costly changes later on and ensures your space flows beautifully, both practically and visually. Whether you're already working with an architect or just starting out, we’ll fit in wherever you need us.

We do. Whether it’s a single room or a whole house, we’re happy to chat and see if it feels like the right fit.

Every project is a little different - it's a big gap from room refresh to full renovations - so we tailor our fees to suit the scope of your project. Our process always starts with an informal discovery call where we chat through your space, goals and timeline or arrange a visit if we need to take a closer look at the space before sending you a personalised quote.

It depends on the scope and complexity of your project, but typically we spend 3–4 weeks on the initial concept and design brief, then another 4–5 weeks creating detailed designs for each room. We always share a clear timeline before starting so you know what to expect.

When we quote for design fees, we also include an estimate for Implementation Support. This can mean anything from checking in with your builder during the project, to coordinating trades and managing the whole thing for you. It's there as an option if you need support later down the line and usually evolves as the project progresses.

For a single room like a living room, we usually recommend a day of support. For larger renovation or extension projects, we typically suggest a minimum of 3–5 days, depending on your scope and how hands-on (or hands-off) you'd like to be.

Yes - we have a trusted network of local professionals we work with regularly, from contractors, cabinet-makers to decorators and curtain-makers. We’re also happy to collaborate with your existing team. While we don’t manage the build, we do offer support throughout and can liaise with whoever’s on site to make sure things go smoothly.

Yes — while we’re based in Bristol and love working locally, we also support clients remotely, especially those relocating to the area. We’ve designed and delivered homes for clients moving from London, Hong Kong, France — even Tanzania. If you're planning a move to Bristol and want help getting everything just right, we’d be happy to chat about what support might work best for you in a discovery call.

Product sourcing FAQs

Expertly chosen pieces, curated for the way you live for homes that feel calm, cohesive and considered.
Who is this service for?

Absolutely. It’s a great way to get support choosing the key pieces that finish your project. Renovations come with decision fatigue, so we curate the right options without overwhelming you. We can also help you understand how furniture will sit in your newly renovated space through simple layouts or visuals.

Definitely. Whether it’s a new rug, cushions, lighting or a couple of key furniture upgrades, we help you select the pieces that make the biggest impact. We also look at your space as a whole and can suggest updated layouts that blend new items with your existing furniture so everything feels balanced and intentional.

Our sourcing service is completely flexible — you only pay for the support you need. We work on an hourly rate (or a day rate for larger briefs), agreed upfront once we understand the scope of your project. We begin with a short kick-off meeting to define your brief: the pieces you need, your style, budget and any practical requirements. From there, we agree the deliverables — usually a curated shortlist of products, sometimes supported by layouts or simple visuals to help you see how everything will work in your space.

Design-led sourcing doesn’t mean everything is designer — it means everything is thoughtfully chosen. We use a broad, practical approach that draws on trusted high street brands, independent makers, trade suppliers and manufacturers we know well. Every piece we shortlist is considered for scale, quality, finish, durability and how it will work in your home, so your final selections feel cohesive, long-lasting and beautifully suited to the way you live.
