Minimalist and Japandi-inspired Interior Styling for an Open Plan Extension

We styled this home renovation and extension in Henleaze, Bristol.

The large rear glazing opens onto a mature garden that creates a calm and serene haven in the middle of the city.

The decor is minimalist featuring soft tones and low profile furniture. The natural materials used such as leather and wood help create continuity with the outdoor space.

The colour palette includes soft pink and grey that contrasts beautifully with the dark blue grey of the kitchen island. The blue accent of the hanging light is repeated in the master bedroom and main bathroom to provide coherence throughout the house.

As per the rest of the house, the style is minimalist. The wall hung unit allows the light to bounce off the floor while the built-in bath gives the impression of space.

The master bedroom colour scheme is also neutral but featuring a blue velvet bed headboard and surround as a touch of colour and nod to the downstairs light feature. Floor to ceiling wardrobes provides ample storage to keep this space clear and free of distractions.
