Joiin our interior design studio

A bit about us

We’re a Bristol-based design studio specialising in high-end residential projects. We take a collaborative, practical approach to design and create homes that are stylish, beautifully functional, and tailored to each client’s unique brief. No two projects are the same, which makes our work rewarding and highly versatile.

Our studio bridges the gap between architecture, design, and build, working closely with homeowners, architects, and makers to deliver thoughtful solutions from concept to completion. Since launching in 2020, we’ve become a trusted partner for residential renovations across Bristol and Bristol Property Awards‘ Interior Designer of 2024.

We keep the process enjoyable, flexible, and down to earth. We champion creativity, support individual growth, and take pride in producing design work that feels personal and considered.

About the role

We’re looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join our small, supportive team. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll contribute to live client projects from day one. You’ll receive the guidance you need, but we’ll also encourage you to take ownership and grow confidently into leading design work as you progress.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys technical work as much as creative concept development. You should have strong AutoCAD skills, an eye for detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for producing accurate drawings and visually engaging models.

You’ll work across every stage of the design process, collaborating with our wider architectural and construction network and gaining invaluable exposure to how real homes are designed and delivered. This is an office-based role near the beautiful Downs, with occasional work from our sister architectural practice when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D technical drawings (plans, elevations) in AutoCAD and create 3D visuals using SketchUp or similar software.
• Interpret client briefs and translate them into design concepts, visuals, colour palettes, and moodboards.
• Research and curate wallpapers, fabrics, materials, furniture, and accessories to develop cohesive design schemes.
• Attend and support client meetings, site surveys, and follow-up actions.
• Order and organise samples, maintaining and updating the studio’s materials library.

• Prepare project documents such as product lists, specification sheets, and curtain and blind overviews.
• Work closely with builders, makers, suppliers, and trades to progress project requirements.
• Assist with photoshoots, including sourcing styling items, organising products, and onsite set-up and pack-down.
• Attend trade shows and supplier visits to source and test new products.
• Stay informed on design trends, industry innovation, and best practice.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong technical ability with proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp (or similar 3D software), and Photoshop.
    • Experience producing complete and accurate technical drawing packs.
    • Excellent design skills with an eye for detail, able to create inspiring yet practical concepts aligned with client briefs and budgets.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for timelines, budgets, and costings, and PowerPoint for presentations.
    • Keen interest in developing strong FF&E knowledge.
    • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
    • Proactive, enthusiastic, and able to use initiative within a small, dynamic team.
    • Suitable for a graduate or Junior Designer with around 1–2 years’ experience.
